    For new applicants to the Canadian Access Federation (CAF) program looking to gain approval for eduroam and/or Federated Identity Management (FIM).

  • Municipalities, Public Services and Venues

    Organizations that are under the category of a public service institution, such as a Canadian municipality, or public venue (e.g. hospital, library, airport, museum, transit authority, arena, etc.) are eligible to broadcast eduroam as a Service Provider. eduroam Service Providers provide eduroam Wi-Fi for users who are validated by their home institutions.

  • Post-Secondary Institutions

    Eligible Canadian post-secondary institutions have two separate and distinct services bundled into their CAF participation fees:

    • eduroam (educational roaming Wi-Fi)
    • Federated Identity Management (FIM)

  • CAF offers two primary services: eduroam and FIM. Eligible CAF participants may be able to implement these services as a Service Provider and/or Identity Provider.
